The ICAT Book app was developed to accompany a publication produced by the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology and Virginia Tech. The app is an augmented reality experience created to help showcase the innovative and creative work that occurs at the nexus of science, art, engineering, and design. By downloading the app and holding your camera over the front cover of the book, a beautifully detailed connections of circuits appear. Next, a color wheel allows you to manipulate the color that the word EMERGE appears to you in based on your color selection. The projects featured in the publication represent a sampling of the first five years of ICAT and connect in essential ways. The app will continue to be an iterative process and new features will be added in the future.
Requires iOS 8.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

- After ICATBook is downloaded, you'll see an INSTALL button to the right. Tap on it to start the actual installation of the iOS app.
- Once installation is finished you can tap on the OPEN button to start it. Its icon will also be added to your device home screen.
